7-06-1978, the first rays of light adorn the sky….birds chirp….flowers wave…trees sway… And then ………under the aegis of the chairmanship of Prof. Satish Dhawan yoked by acting Principal Sri S Keshava Murthy Kendriya Vidyalaya Indian Institute of Science rises in the horizon to spread the fragrance of knowledge and learning far and wide! From just 224 students that year the school has grown to 1482 students in 2009.

- Master Niranjan Jha of class IX has passed the II level NTSE exam and will be eligible for scholarship.
- Certificate of excellence from KVS for board exam results of classes X and XII
- B.G. Madhushree of class X has received KVS Merit Award – 2009 for her meritorious performance in class X. She Received a cash prize of Rs. 5000.
- 14 students of class 8 of our Vidyalaya are qualified to receive NTSE-State level scholarship(2008) of Rs.500/ per month for a period of 4 years
